‘Twilight’ Author Stephenie Meyer Appears On Oprah Winfrey Show

Author, Stephenie Meyer who is known for her popular vampire saga “Twilight” made an appearance in the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’ on Friday evening. The show grabbed a lot of attention as this would be the last interview the much acclaimed author would be appearing at before the “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hits theaters on the 20th of this month.

Speculations are running high about the latest movie after the last film adaptation of the author’s first ‘Twilight’ novel became immensely successful and was highly appreciated by the audiences. The Friday’s interview caught the celebrated author in a candid conversation with Oprah where she talked at lengths about her second book based on the twilight saga as well as her success story. The show was hugely attended by large number of Twilight fans who gave the author a warm welcome. Meyer also emphasized that initially the climax of the New Moon was much quieter and subtle but she changed it and gave it a different ending on the insistence of her mother. At the same time, the author also revealed that the entire plot of twilight was imagined by her in a dream which ultimately she had penned down.

The 35 year old author shot to fame when her Twilight novels become immensely popular among readers due to which later the novels were adapted in film versions. The novels received recognition across the world as a result of which the book was translated into 37 different languages. Twilight also received a number of awards and Meyer become the biggest selling author of the year 2008 after he book sold more than 70 million copies.
